Bifidobacterium

Bifidobacterium is a genus of Gram-positive, nonmotile, often branched anaerobic bacteria. They are one of the major genera of bacteria that make up the gastrointestinal tract microbiota in mammals. Some bifidobacteria are used as probiotics.
