Overview of Probiotics in Modern Livestock Management

Contemporary animal agriculture presents complex stress factors, including pathogenic challenges, nutritional transitions and environmental changes, etc. Probiotics offer an ecologically reasonable strategy to alleviate these pressures in the following ways:

  • Restoring and Maintaining Gut Microbiota Balance.
  • Enhancing Nutrient Digestion and Absorption.
  • Strengthening the Host Immune System.
  • Improving Growth Performance and Productivity.
  • Reducing the Need for Antibiotics.
  • Potentially Mitigating Environmental Impact.

FAQs

How do you determine whether probiotics are beneficial to animals? What is your process?

We arranged some experiments where some animals were given probiotics while others were not, and then closely monitored their growth conditions and even their utilization of feed.

In these probiotic studies, what tests did you conduct on animals? Just looking at them?

Not just watching! We will collect data, such as body weight, feed intake. Sometimes we collect samples like blood or intestinal swabs.
