Rothia DNA

Rothia is a genus of Gram-positive bacteria commonly found in the oral cavity and respiratory tract. They are generally considered commensal but have been linked to opportunistic infections in immunocompromised individuals. Genomic DNA from Rothia is used in microbiome research to understand its contribution to oral and respiratory health. It also aids in identifying genetic factors that may predispose it to causing infections.
